All inclusive Art Course Holidays
Ken Carr has been a professional artist for 30 yrs and invites you to learn the basics of watercolour painting, this light hearted course is for those who have always wanted to paint but don't know which end of a brush to use.
Ken will take you from the blank paper to at the end of your five days a credible piece of work you can be proud of, frame and say I did that to your friends and family
This all inclusive course is set in the beautiful, peaceful surroundings, at the Penzion Maria in the foothills of the Carpathian mountains of Slovakia. {Kysucou-Beskidy region}
The course is for six nights five days. Commencing Sundays.
Arrive at the hotel to a light supper and meet your fellow students
Monday morning after a hearty Slovakian breakfast Ken will introduce you to the wonder of watercolour painting.
Lunch is between 1 and 2 either a la carte. The climate here is very reliable and generally settled so packed luches will be provided for field painting and sketching days.
The evenings are your own to relax, practice what you have learnt or make friends with the locals.
Dinner is what you choose with no restrictions and wine is included.
Courses commence at 9.30 each day ending at 5.30 On Friday afternoon you will spend time painting with Ken offering advice only, when finished your work will be mounted and the owner Zdenka and her wonderful staff will judge your work with prizes for all, a certificate of compleation and a coupon for a discount on your next course which will be tailored to suit each individuals ability.
What is included
Airport pickup. If you wish to make your own way to Cadca we will arrange for your train tickets and transport from the station to the hotel {trains here run on time and there is never a problem with leaves on the line!!} If you wish to hire a car there will be a reduction in the price.
Six nights accommodation in comfortable rooms with private bathrooms.
All tuition and materials are provided.

Return rail tickets or Taxi [there will be a suppliment for return taxi payable to the driver]

Penzion Maria
This wonderful modern little hotel is traditionally built and is clean, comfortable and warm, the staff are welcoming and helpful, Zdenka is the most wonderful cook and the menu is in English. It is a non-smoking hotel but smokers are welcome to smoke in the designated areas, smoking in the bedrooms is prohibited. All the bedrooms are doubles {twin beds} There is a self contained cottage with the ability to sleep 11 so groups are welcome as long as you don't mind sharing!
Please tell me prior to arrival of any allergies and dietary requirements you have and we will do our best to accommodate.
Unfortunately due to the construction of the hotel there is no wheelchair access.
If you are disabled in any way though we will do our best to help but please be aware the hotel has many steps and all the bedroom are on the second floor.
The hotel accepts all major credit cards.
